Collaborative Divorce What Is It? Amicable or friendly Divorce

This high profile divorce was not a good news story, but Tiger Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren decided to work with an interdisciplinary team in a collaborative divorce. That is a good news story.

My family law and mediation practice is established around working in interdisciplinary teams. I celebrate the Tiger Woods story as a great example of the power of interdisciplinary team collaboration.

You can hear more details of the benefits of team practice in the Woods’ divorce in the Fox10 interview with Dr. Ellie Izzo. I have trained with the inspirational Dr. Izzo and she says it all in the video below.

Co-operative Parenting Putting the Children First

Putting children first and parenting co-operativelycan be a challenge. Here, at the Melbourne Collaborative Alliance, the team helps clients to put co-parenting ahead of negative feelings for their former partner after separation.

The Woods’ know a thing or two about being in the middle of it all. They are to be congratulated for deciding to keep their children out of the middle of their divorce.
